If you are looking to visit the famous white sand beach of Icacos island, now you have the opportunity to do so. The only water taxi in Puerto Rico. Enjoy the most beautiful beach in the world. Plus, being at the world-famous Luquillo Kiosk, this is the deal you must do! [tourbookbutton] Bring your equipment if you would like to snorkel at the beach! Tour Includes Transportation Round Trip From: San Juan areas Carolina Rio Grande. Fajardo (Provide the Air B&B address to provide the nearest pick-up location) A FREE Survival Kit For 2 people The Cooler Includes: 4 local Beers 4 bottles of water 4 Sodas 4 Cheese and almond, Dry Fruit Snacks ICE The cooler is just rented. You must return it. Losing the cooler has a cost of $25 ADD Full Face Snorkel Mask Cost $12 per mask If you want to do snorkeling on your own, you may rent a full face mask. Whether you are a first-timer or a seasoned snorkeler, using a full-face mask is an option you should seriously look at. Using a full-face mask is a great alternative to a standard snorkel mask for three main reasons: Visibility – most mask models offer l large lens that extends to the sides of your face and gives a clear 180-degree view. The frame seals behind your vision line, so you don’t have a frame covering your view. Water barrier – the masks seal around your entire face, which decreases the chance of water getting into the mask when you smile. The rear strap holds the mask on your head, allowing you to move freely and take on the waves without losing the mask. Natural Breathing – You can inhale and exhale through your nose or mouth using a full face mask. Natural breathing helps keep you calmer and more relaxed in the water. The absence of a mouthpiece also makes extended snorkeling more comfortable, allowing you to snorkel longer. Losing or breaking the mask costs $45.00 per mask. It must be paid in cash. Pick-up starts at 10:30 am from the San Juan area towards Fajardo. It is approximately an hour's drive to the marina. It is highly recommended to bring everything you need, such as snacks and beverages, to the island as there will be no restrooms or shops there. Protecting yourself from the sun (sunscreen, sunglasses, etc.) is also highly encouraged, as no umbrellas or buildings provide shading. Sailing from the marina to Icacos island is around 12 minutes. Our guests can enjoy the beautiful views of the El Yunque Mountains and the waterfront of the Fajardo coastline; or practice their snorkeling in the crystal clear waters of Icacos Island, amongst other activities. After approximately 2 hours, the water taxi will get you back to the marina, where there will be restrooms with showers for our guests. You can enjoy and have fun at the world-famous Luquillo Kiosk, from which you can choose over a hundred authentic Puerto Rican food and gift shops. You will be at Luquillo for around 1 hour and 1/2. The driver will let you know the time and location to be back on the bus. Usually is around 4 pm approximate. ( Food and beverage ARE NOT included) You must be ready at that time to sail back. If, for any reason, you wish to go back to the marina before your tour is over, you may do so, but keep in mind that you will not be able to go back to Icacos. The bus will depart the marina at approximately 3:30 pm. If you are not on the bus, you must find a different way back to San Juan, as the bus will not go back for you. We will not cover the expenses if you call a taxi, uber, or other means of transportation. At Icacos Island, there are rules and laws that everyone visiting must follow. We are not responsible for anyone who violates these laws and anyone who needs to find their way back to their destination. Smoking cannabis is prohibited in Puerto Rico. We ask that all our guests clean up after themselves and take all trash and personal belongings back to the marina. Due to COVID restrictions in Puerto Rico, each boat seats 6 people. If you have more than 6 people, we will get you on different boats to the island. Payment: You must reserve with a credit card to secure your spots. If someone on your reservation does not show up, the credit card on file will be charged for each person missing the total amount. YOU MUST KNOW! When will the boat be back on the main Island? The captain will provide you with an estimated time for the boat to return. Usually, you will spend 2 hours at Icacos approximately. Are there any bathrooms on Icacos Island? No. There are no existing structures on the island, so prepare for that. Once you get back to the marina, there are restrooms and showers. Are there any restaurants on Icacos Island? No. People often bring their coolers for snacks and drinks, and sometimes they even bring their grills! How long does the trip last? The boat ride to Icacos Island takes about 12 minutes. Generally, people spend at Icacos Island 2 hours approx. The captain will let you know when he will be back for you, which is usually between 2 and 2 1/2 hours approx. Where are the best snorkeling places? Please ask the captain for advice on the best places to snorkel around Icacos. Is there more than one beach on Icacos Island? Yes.
