EXPERIENCE THE RARE PHENOMENON OF BIOLUMINESCENCE IN A NIGHTTIME KAYAKING TOUR OF THE BIO BAY, LAGUNA GRANDE NATURE RESERVE IN FAJARDO, PUERTO RICO.
Kayaking in Fajardo's Bio Bay
Discover the Wonder of Bioluminescence
Bioluminescence is one of planet Earth's best-kept secrets. Specifically, tiny organisms make the water glow at night. They found the perfect place to live in the Fajardo Bio Bay. When you stir the water of the Bioluminescent Bay, lots of sparkles will activate. Glowing trails will swirl and flow with the water.
Glowing Trails and Sparkling Waters
The best part of this tour is enjoying the incredibly glowing water of the "Big Lagoon"! Specifically, tiny bioluminescent organisms called "pyridinium bahamenses" cause this wonder of nature. When you touch or move the water with your kayak, they produce blue-green light from top to bottom of this bay. Moreover, you can only find this experience in the Fajardo Bio Bay. Book with us with the perfect guides and bring your friends. We do not doubt that you will have a great new story!
